Yash is an Indian model and actor. His real name is Naveen Kumar Gowda and his stage name Yash. He was born on 8th January 1986 in Bhuvanahalli Village near Hassan district, Karnataka. He brought in Mysore, Karnataka. He is born in a middle-class family, He is the son of Arun Kumar J and Pushpa Latha. Arun Kumar J was worked in the KSRTC transport service and BMTC transport service as a bus driver and his mother is a housewife. He has Younger Sister Nandini. He completed his education from S.B.R.R Mahajana Pre-University College in Mysore. After completed studies, He joined Benaka theatre troupe to pursue a career in acting, Which founded by the National School of Drama alumnus and Padma Shri award winner B. V. Karanth.
He started his acting career from TV Serial and he made debut from Udaya TV’s Uttarayana in 2004. He played a small role in this serial. Same Year he has done another Serial Nanda Gokula with Radhika Pandit. Later he also has done a few notable TV serials including Silli Lalli, Shiva, Preethi Illada Mele, etc. He made his movie debut from Jambada Hudugi in 2007 and He Played a small role in this movie. Next Year He roped in a romantic comedy film Moggina Manasu as a Supporting actor. This movie became a commercial hit. His performance highly appreciated by the audience and critics. He won Best supporting actor Award in Kannada Filmfare Awards for Moggina Manasu. Same Year he made debut as a lead actor from Rocky movie but this movie was a flop on box office and got a negative response from critics. Later he has done notable commercial successful movies including Modalasala, Rajadhani, Kirataka, etc.
He received national popularity from the romantic comedy movie Googly alongside Kriti Kharbanda. This movie became the highest-grossing Kannada movie that year. His performance was highly appreciated by the audience and critics. His next movie Mr. and Mrs. Ramachari also become a huge commercial hit and he won the best actor award in Filmfare Awards South and SIIMA. In 2017, He starred in Bilingual movie K.G.F: Chapter 1, which was released on five languages including Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. This movie becomes Yash’s all-time huge commercial hit. First 100cr and 200cr Kannada movie. This movie won two National Film Awards. Yash won Outstanding Performance Of The Year award in Dadasaheb Phalke Award South. He also won the best actor award in Filmfare Awards South and SIIMA. He currently shooting K.G.F: Chapter 2, Which is going to release at the end of 2020. Besides acting He also done Playback singing in his movie Mr. and Mrs. Ramachari and Masterpiece.
He married his long-time girlfriend and co-actor Radhika Pandit in 2016. He gave his wedding reception in Bangalore Palace and He invited all people from Karnataka. The couples have a daughter Ayra who was born in 2018 and a son Ayush was born in 2019. He also actively does philanthropist work in their state. He donated 4cr rupees in the water crisis issue in Koppal district. His wife runs the Foundation called Yasho Marga Foundation.
