The Ramayana by Nitesh Tiwari has been in the news for a while now. Although it is well known that Ranbir Kapoor will play Ram in the movie, there are now rumours circulating that Sunny Deol will play Hanuman. While we wait for more thrilling news on that, it was recently reported that Sunny Deol got huge amount of Rs 45 crore for ‘Ramayana’.
According to a source close to the entertainment website Bollywood Hungama, Sunny Deol may only be entitled to compensation of Rs 45 crores because the role demands a great deal of dedication and accountability. “Shining as Lord Hanuman on screen is a big responsibility and Sunny has decided to not take up any project in the middle of the Ramayana shoot,” the source said.
In order to play Lord Hanuman, he plans to dedicate all of his attention to the role and change his physical appearance. With Nitesh Tiwari and Madhu Mantena, he is negotiating a deal worth Rs. 45 crore for Ramayana. The source told the entertainment portal that Sunny Deol’s portrayal of Hanuman would be like a thank you to Lord Hanuman for all of his life’s success.

The insider further claimed that Sunny Deol is ‘seriously considering’ taking up the project. However, cannot confirm the authenticity of the report.
According to reports, Sai Pallavi has been cast as Sita, while Ranbir Kapoor will portray Ram in this film. Prior to this year, Alia Bhatt was in talks to play Sita, but she withdrew because of scheduling conflicts. In the meantime, Yash, the KGF star, will probably play Ravana in the film. But as of right now, no formal announcement has been made about this.
