Families all throughout the nation gather to celebrate and take part in the festivities around Diwali. Like everyone else, our celebrities don’t spare any detail when it comes to planning a celebration or festival. Actress Sonya Saamoor recently talked about her plans for Diwali and encouraged everyone to have a quiet, noise-free celebration.
“Well, Diwali is my favourite festival and I really like the vibe that this festival brings,” the actress remarks. Every structure and location is brightened up and styled like a bride. In order to support small businesses and those in need, I also make sure to light up my house with lights, diyas, and candles—all of which I usually prefer to purchase from street vendors. In addition, I would like to ask that people try to buy flowers, diyas, and other decorative items from local vendors.
Sonya shares a crucial message about crackers: “I don’t understand why people only bring up the firecracker ban during Diwali. Is it not inappropriate to pop crackers when India prevails in the game? Why do crackers blow up at New Year’s and weddings?
Those crackers—don’t they harm the environment? I propose banning something all year round, not just during Diwali, if it is bad for the environment. Since crackers are such a delicate subject, I implore the Supreme Court to outlaw them year-round.
