Recently, there has been a deepfake video of actress Rashmika Mandanna circulating on social media. A woman can be seen entering a lift in the video. But it’s changed to reveal Rashmika’s face. While some social media users were duped into thinking the woman was Rashmika, others pointed out that the woman in the clip is not the actress and that the video was edited by AI. Rashmika Mandana demand strict action against those responsible after her deepfake video goes viral.
The woman in the viral video is Zara Patel, a British-Indian girl with 416K Instagram followers, according to a user on X (formerly known as Twitter). She’s wearing a black unitard with no sleeves. Zara posted the video to her Instagram on October 9.
The original video was also shared by many users, who criticised those who created similar videos solely to get views. Additionally, some users asserted that the woman was Rashmika and called for “strict action” against the people who uploaded it.
Another commenter noted that the woman’s face changes from the other girl to Rashmika at 0:01 in the video.

Reacting to the viral news, superstar Amitabh Bachchan wrote on X that the matter calls for a strong legal case against the culprits.
A user on X said, “This is scary. Where is our regulator?” Someone else commented, saying, “This is actually a very worrying scenario.”
Another user commented, “सर आज के समय मे हम किसी को भी बदनाम कर सकते है,” another user wrote.
It should be mentioned that in the past, deepfake videos of well-known people, including Tom Cruise, Anne Hathaway, Mohanlal, Mammootty, Fahadh Faasil, and others, have also made headlines and appeared on social media.
Rashmika is renowned for having a lovely on-screen persona in films. She is still in high demand as an actress despite receiving multiple accolades and nominations for her roles.
What is a Deepfake?
An artificial intelligence-generated image, video, voice, or text is referred to as a “deepfake.” The term “deep” comes from “deep learning,” which is a technique that uses software to replace one person’s voice or face with another. In recent years, cybercrime experts have received numerous complaints about the illegal use of deepfake images, which have harmed people’s reputations and been viciously used for extortion.
Rashmika’s next project, Animal, will be her collaboration with Ranbir Kapoor. The film, which was directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, also features Triptii Dimri, Bobby Deol, and Anil Kapoor. December 1st is when the movie is supposed to open in theatres.
Rashmika also has Pushpa: The Rule with Allu Arjun, Rainbow opposite Dev Mohan of Shaakuntalam fame and an untitled next with Vijay Deverakonda.
