On Friday, October 13, also known as National Cinema Day, is observed throughout India. Movie tickets across India for just Rs 99, according to the Multiplex Association of India (MAI) and Indian cinemas nationwide. The new programme recognises that the Multiplexes have had a successful year thus far by facilitating simpler access to more films.
Both offline and online booking options are available for movie tickets. On services like BookMyShow, Paytm, or the individual multiplex websites, interested viewers can purchase tickets. At the participating theatres, on their websites, and on their social media pages, more information about the ticket and food-and-beverage promotions will be made available.
How to book movie tickets online?
You only need to choose Friday and the films you want to view in order to purchase a ticket. The option to purchase Friday tickets is still unavailable for several foreign films. However, there are still some films that may be purchased at a discount, including well-known Indian films like Jawan, Mission Raniganj, and Thank You for Coming. Depending on the taxes and fees levied by the multiplexes, the prices may change.
On National Cinema Day of last year, 6.5 million admissions, the biggest number ever for a single day, were recorded. More than 4000 screens will commemorate the event this year. Participating in this deal are renowned theatres as PVR INOX, CINEPOLIS, MIRAJ, CITYPRIDE, ASIAN, MUKTA A2, MOVIE TIME, WAVE, M2K, DELITE, and numerous others.
The Multiplex Association of India explains the rationale behind the new offer in an open letter. According to the letter, “This rare occasion celebrates the extraordinary success of numerous films at the box office this year by bringing audiences of all ages together for a day of cinematic bliss. It’s a sincere “thank you” to all the moviegoers who supported this achievement and an open invitation to everybody who hasn’t yet visited their neighbourhood theatre.
