Actor Manasvi Mamgai was all set to foray into the reality show space with Bigg Boss 17. However, the former Miss India won’t be part of the show now. While Manasvi refused to talk about the matter, her team confirmed to indianexpress.com that she would not be on the show but did not give clarity about what went wrong at the last moment. The celebrity contestants shot for their acts on Thursday and were supposed to be entering the house on Friday. Manasvi, too, was on the BB17 set and even gave interviews to the media expressing her excitement about being on the Salman Khan-hosted show. But hours before being on the stage, something triggered a disagreement between her and the makers and Manasvi decided to not be a part of the show.
A source close to the show shared with crazybollywoodcelebrities.com that there were numerous reasons floating on the set about the deal falling flat. While it was said that she had a showdown with the production, it’s also been alleged that Manasvi couldn’t do the show due to medical reasons. However, neither her team nor the channel has confirmed what exactly went wrong.
Manasvi Mamgai was recently seen alongside Kajol in the Disney Plus Hotstar series, The Trial. She essayed the role of Juhi Bhatia, the girlfriend of cricketer Mohit Singh, who dies under mysterious circumstances. Manasvi won the title of Miss India World 2010 and represented India at Miss World 2010. She also has the titles of Miss India Tourism International and Miss Tourism International 2008.
Manasvi started her acting career by playing an antagonist in Ajay Devgn’s 2014 film, Action Jackson. She is quite active on social media and her Instagram account gives a glimpse into her modelling career.
As far as Bigg Boss 17 is concerned, celebrities like Munawar Faruqui, Aishwarya Sharma-Neil Bhatt, Ankita Lokhande-Vicky Jain, Isha Malviya, Mannara Chopra, former journalist Jigna Vora and social media creators Sunny Arya and Anurag Dhobal will be seen as contestants. The show is set to launch on Sunday, 9 pm on Colors.
