Kevin Turen, creator of the hit series ‘Euphoria’ and ‘The Idol’, has passed away. Kevin Turen the well-known filmmaker dies at the age of 44. However, the cause of the producer’s death has not been revealed yet. There is an atmosphere of sadness in the industry after the news of his death.
Father Edward Turen shared condolence message
Producer Kevin Turen is survived by his wife Evelina and their two sons Jack and James. “Kevin was very special, this world would have seemed a smaller place without him,” his father Edward Turenne said in a statement Sunday night, Nov. 13.
Produced many hit series
Kevin Turen first produced Larry Clark’s Wassup Rockers and later worked with Sam Levinson and produced Malcolm & Marie, Trey Schultz’s Waves, Nicholas Jarecki’s Arbitrage, Nate Parker’s The Birth of a Nation, Cornel Mondruzo’s Pieces of A Woman, Ramin Bahrani’s 99 Homes and produced. Kevin Turenne’s work in television included Levinson’s Euphoria and The Idol as well as Olivier Assayas’s Irma Vep.
Fans expressed grief
Fans on social media are also expressing grief over his death and sending condolences to his family. He was also known for his photographic memory. Turenne could reportedly remember every frame of every film he saw. As an actor he had a keen sense of storytelling and the ability to connect with talent both on-screen and off-screen.
