An affectionate performance by a competitor on Indian Idol has brought a guest judge back to tears. Indian Idol, a singing talent show, will feature a tribute to the legendary Kapoor family of Bollywood this weekend. Karisma Kapoor will be the guest.
Honouring Raj Kapoor
The new episode’s teaser features Karisma being overcome by contestant Mahima’s tribute to the actor’s late grandfather, the illustrious Raj Kapoor. Mahima took the stage dressed as the most well-known character that Raj Kapoor has ever played, Raju the Joker from Mera Naam Joker (1970). She sang the song Jeena Yahan, Marna Yahan and touched the stage for good fortune.
Karisma became emotional right away. She tried her hardest not to cry until she started crying. “Ye gaane ke jo shabd hain (the lyrics of this song) is what we are,” she remarked following her performance. “Jo bhi hum hain aaj (Whatever we are today) is thanks to this great man,” Karisma continued. Shreya Ghoshal, the judge, was even observed becoming emotional.
Fans of the show are eagerly waiting for the episode to drop. “Soni TV you invite karisma every year love this . She is lovely thanks,” wrote one. “Oh so emotional,” wrote another.
Concerning Raj Kapoor
Prithviraj Kapoor’s son Raj Kapoor rose to prominence as one of Bollywood’s biggest stars in history. In addition, he founded RK Films, a production company that produced films like Barsaat, Awaara, and Shree 420. Rishi, Randhir, and Rajiv Kapoor were all born to Raj Kapoor. The father of Kareena Kapoor and her sister Karisma, Randhir was once an actor himself.
Concerning Karisma’s job initiatives
Karisma hasn’t made many films in the past few years. She starred in the 2020 web series Mentalhood and will next be seen with Sara Ali Khan in Homi Adajania’s Murder Mubarak. Additionally, she has Brown, an Abhinay Deo web series, on pipleline.
