IFFI gala premiers will feature screenings of Salman Khan’s Farrey, Pankaj Tripathi’s Khadak Singh, and Vijay Sethupathi’s Gandhi Talks

The 2023 International Film Festival of India (IFFI) will feature a wide range of new releases. IFFI gala premiers will feature screenings of Salman Khan’s Farrey, Pankaj Tripathi’s Khadak Singh, and Vijay Sethupathi’s Gandhi Talks. The films and television series will be shown as a part of “Gala Premiers,” a recently introduced programme designed to foster relationships between movie stars and the public.

In addition to Salman Khan’s Farrey, which stars his niece Alizeh Agnihotri, there will be numerous screenings at IFFI 2023, which is scheduled to take place in Goa from November 20 to 28.

Pankaj Tripathi’s Kadak Singh and Gandhi Talks starring Vijay Sethupathi, Arvind Swami and Aditi Rao Hydari with music by AR Rahman will also have a grand premiere at the festival.

Along with films in every language, the lineup features popular stars from across the nation. In addition to the Asia premieres of Dil Hai Grey (Hindi), starring Akshay Oberoi and Urvashi Rautela, and Dear Jassi (Punjabi) by Tarsem Singh, there will be two series from Amazon Originals on display at IFFI: Dhootha (Telugu) starring Naga Chaitanya Parvathy Thiruvothu, and Hurry Om Hurry (Gujarati), starring Siddharth Randheria, Rautu Ki Beli (Hindi) featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Grey Games (Kannada) starring Vijay Raghvendra, and Hurry Om Hurry (Gujarati) starring Siddharth Randheria, Hurry Om Hurry (Gujarati), starring Siddharth Randheria, and Grey Games (Kannada) starring Vijay Raghvendra.

The Gala premiere is especially fitting for our most recent campaign, Meri Mitti Mera Desh, which honours films produced in the North, East, South, and West. We all come together to celebrate the magic of Goa’s best cinema.”

Farrey, directed by Soumendra Padhi, promises a thrilling journey waiting to be unravelled while, Gandhi Talks by Kishor Padurang Belekar delves into a social commentary that explores the depths of capitalism, racism, and society at large, with intriguing references to Hindu mythology and the story of Samudra Manthan.

Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury’s film Kadak Singh tells the tale of AK Srivastava, a Department of Financial Crimes officer who suffers from retrograde amnesia. Despite his illness, he manages to unravel the intricate mystery of the Chit Fund Scam by hearing several accounts of his past and how he got into the hospital. Milind Rau’s film The Village follows a family as they travel down a desolate path until they are attacked by a group of mutants.

With numerous other remarkable films, including Hurry Om Hurry, Dear Jassi, Rautu Ki Beli, Dhootha, Dil Hai Gray, and Grey Games, the Gala Premieres section at the 54th IFFI offers a diverse and captivating cinematic experience that challenges perceptions, explores human emotions, and delves into the realm of suspense and mystery.
