Popular Bhojpuri actress and former Bigg Boss OTT contestant Akshara Singh has entered politics. She joined election strategist Prashant Kishore’s campaign ‘Jan Suraj‘ in Patna on Monday (November 27). Addressing a press conference the actress officially announced her decision to enter politics and join the ‘Jan Suraj’ movement.
During the conversation, Akshara also expressed her desire to contest elections. The actress said in the program that if she gets people’s support, she will definitely contest the elections. When asked from where will she contest the elections? Responding to this, Akshara said, “Time will tell in the future. There is no seat right now, I have just taken the initiative. If it is my destiny and if people support me, then I can contest the elections.”
During an interview with ANI, Akshara spoke openly about her motive behind entering the world of politics. Praising Prashant Kishor, she said, “I have been watching him for the last 15 months and how he has been actively campaigning. The most important thing is that he is educated and has good intentions for the society and the youth. “
Akshara said, “Being a daughter of Bihar, I also want to take some initiative and contribute, this is my intention.” Prashant Kishore has said that his ‘Jan Suraj’ movement is a social initiative. However, considering the timing of Akshara’s joining the campaign, there is speculation that the actress may be fielded as a candidate in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
His decision is also being seen as a step to prepare the political ground for himself for bigger things in politics in the future. Several Bhojpuri celebrities who successfully entered politics in the last few years include Ravi Kishan, Manoj Tiwari and Dinesh Lal Yadav alias ‘Nirahua’. All three of them are MPs from BJP.
Talking about Akshara’s stardom, she is one of the highest paid actresses in Bhojpuri film industry. She made her acting debut in the 2010 action drama ‘Satyamev Jayate’ opposite Ravi Kishan. She has also been a part of projects like Love Marriage, Maa Tujhe Salaam, Dhadkan, Saugandh Ganga Maiya Ke, Taabadla and many more. She has impressed the audience over the years by being a part of many music videos and has garnered a huge fanbase.
