‘Breaking Bad’ actor Mike Batayeh dead at 52, actor Mike Batayeh from Breaking Bad passed away unexpectedly. The comedian and actor passed away on June 1 from a heart attack while at home in Michigan. He was best known to AMC programme viewers for his role as the manager of Gustavo’s infamous laundromat.

Mike played Dennis Markowski in three episodes of the award-winning series Breaking Bad.

He played the laundromat manager from 2011 to 2012, and the late actor was featured during the fourth and fifth seasons of the acclaimed show.

The laundromat, owned by Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito), was a front for a drug lab used by Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul).

Speaking about the late actor – who was also a stand up comedian and author – his sister told TMZ that Mike would be “greatly missed” by his family.

A recent statement issued by the family said: “He will be greatly missed by those who loved him and his great ability to bring him laughter and joy.”

Mike also appeared in other shows including the historical drama Marco Polo, the sitcom It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and the police procedural drama CSI: Miami.

He is also credited with appearing in the sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond earlier in his career and is said to have worked on X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014).

Tributes have poured in for the late actor and comedian following news of his death, including posts about Mike on Instagram from people who knew him.

One person wrote in a tribute a few days ago: “He was a comedian’s comedian and was loved by many. He was always armed with his quick wit, pirate smile and intrinsically optimistic laugh. He was a He was a good man with a big heart”.

Another person, who said they had worked with Mike earlier in his career, wrote in a post: “He was a very talented actor and comedian, but more importantly a great friend. “

The late actor was described as “funny and talented” by another friend, who said his talents went beyond comedy, suggesting he was skilled at screenwriting.

“Mike was incredibly talented and loving. He touched many hearts,” said another person. A tribute read: “He was an incredible human being who I had the honor of working with”.

Another person said: “He was such a light”. while he was described by someone else as “the funniest guy [they] knew and so genuine”. And he added: “He will be truly missed.”
