For the first time since 2016, the nominations for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences were revealed live at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, in front of a press and publicist-packed audience.

The 2023 Oscars will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel for the third time; Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner, who have produced numerous televised trophyfests, will serve as producers.
